Rats and Rabbits

Aim:

This game improves acceleration. Players react at high speed to either their left or right.

Equipment:

• Three markers

Set Up:

1. Place first marker on ground. i.e. between 1^st and 2^nd base
2. Place second marker 30ft to the right of the first marker.i.e. 2^nd Base
3. Place third marker 30ft to the left of the first marker. i.e. 1^st base

 Procedure:

1. Split players in two teams
2. Players face each other in two lines 3m apart.
3. One line is called “Rats”, the other “Rabbits”.
4. Coach calls out “Rats” or “Rabbits”
5. The named team then turns and runs to the end line while the other team chases them.

 Rules:

1. Players must be in two straight lines.
2. Either Rats or Rabbits can not move until the coach calls out their name.
3. Players who catch the other player receive one point for being successful.
